ABOUT KAM KONNECT®

Thank you for visiting the KamKonnect website. KamKonnect®is a company in Texas that is revolutionizing the model railroad world by introducing new Modular Table Systems that can align and fasten together quickly & easily. We have a unique way of connecting modular tables together and currently have a patent pending on the connection method.  No track lift-out sections or rail joiners are required between the tables. Setting up and breaking down a series of tables takes a fraction of the time.

Many model railroaders like to travel with their layouts. Others just want to be able to break down their home layout so that they don’t have to destroy it when moving to a new house. For those new to model railroading, it removes the challenge of having to build their own tables and lets them jump right into laying track and modeling. Whatever the reason might be, KamKonnect
® offers a variety of options for model railroaders and other hobbyists.

KamKonnect
® has a variety of sizes and shapes of modular tables to accommodate almost every situation you can imagine, and works with all sizes of trains (Z up to G). Our standard squares and rectangles are very popular, and we also offer Octamods, Corners, and T-mods. In addition, our custom shop can produce curved sweep modules as well as Drop Down (or Step Up) tables that can accommodate three-dimensional scenery (for canyons, wharfs, etc.) Our most popular module is a 30" x 42" table. We manufacture tables from 12" x 12" up to 48" x 48".

Our modular tables are very sturdy and can bear plenty of weight.

No track lift-out sections or rail joiners are required

KamKonnect® products eliminate the need for joiner tracks and rail joiners between modules. Track can be 1) laid right across  table ends (joints), 2) permanently secured, and 3) cut at the table joint. Each time tables are joined together and locked with the cam, tracks will be perfectly aligned in all three dimensions.

Kam KonnectTM HAS A TRAVELING Convention layout

Kam Konnect Traveling Convention Layout
KamKonnect's convention show modular layout can be setup in 5 minutes and running trains in under 10 minutes. The layout is 28 feet long and has 8 modules. Each end is an Octamod so we can branch out from all four sides. We use a Wye in the middle with our T-Mod module. The T-Mod allows modelers to turn a train around, commit to a yard, or many other options.

Drop-DOWNS

We also have Drop Down Tables to help modelers design 3-Dimensional scenes. You can see examples of Drop Down Tables on Kam Konnect's website and below:
Kam Konnect Dual-Level
Picture
In the photo above (right), track would be laid "at level" on the left and right tables.  The table resting on the floor is 14" below the left and right tables.  Our client intends to model a gorge in the corner module and build a sweeping 90 degree bridge through the turn.  You can monitor the progress of this layout on KamKonnect's website under Layouts: Modeler's in Action: Everett Stoub. Everett has also introduced a wiring concept we had only considered. Everett will poke his wires in from the top, then flip the module upside down, Kam Lock the module in place, then comfortably wire the table from the Top Side.
